Common failure patterns include capacitor damage, heat damage, water ingress, connector contact faults and corrupted memory chips. After diagnosis you receive a binding written quotation.

Costs depend on the extent of the damage and are generally well below the price of a new or exchange unit. A failed capacitor or a cold solder joint is a fraction of a new-part price. We carry out the diagnosis first — then you decide whether to proceed with the repair.

Can I send in my control unit if I am not in the Hardegsen area?

Yes. Through our send-in form we accept control units from anywhere in Germany and abroad. You ship the component to us, we diagnose and repair it, then return it to you. Please include a brief description of the failure pattern and your contact details.

How long does an ECU repair take?

Accepted Answer

Straightforward repairs such as capacitor replacement or solder-joint restoration are often completed within one working day. More complex cases involving memory corruption or in-depth PCB diagnosis may take two to three working days. We inform you of the planned timeframe after the initial diagnosis.
